I plan on buying all the WoTC sourcebooks, modules, and tiles, plus I'll probably have to renew my DDI subscription at some point, so barring some unforseen circumstances, I'll probably be buying $300-500 worth of materials.
Well I'll renew my DDI subscription, probably get the PHBII. More than that, I can't tell, DDI seems to cover my need for crunch and I have more than enough time for fluff and adventure-building of my own. Maybe if we decided to really use some book heavily.
$0 on gaming in general, unless you count the occasional trip to Staples or the art/craft store to pick up stuff to make maps of locations of key battles.
I haven't done an official tally but I allow $200 a month on hobby stuff. Right now that is probably 25-50% of that on 4e/GSL stuff:
- Every official 4e book, module, etc.
- Every Goodman Games module (are these actually GSL yet, some of them still don't seem to be)
- Most GG splats
- Wraith Recon stuff
- anything else that catches my eye...
None of that takes into account what I spend at Gencon, I'd say that pushes me over the $500 mark
Not really planning on any 4e purchases this year, as at best I'm a somewhat disinterested player. I suppose I could be convinced otherwise, but that's my stance right now.
I will be picking up all of the StarWars RPG material, however, so I'm not a total loss for WotC.
I voted $0. I still haven't bought the 4E rulebooks and I doubt that I will this year. I don't have anything against the system. It's just that I'm only a quarter of the way through DM'ing the Shackled City AP. There's almost no chance that we'll be finishing it before the end of the year and I won't be switching editions at least until after the campaign is completed (as possibly not even then). Since I won't be running a 4E campaign this year I see no need to spend money on any 4E books.
I might buy some more D&D prepainted minis and Dungeon Tiles but I consider these to be edition neutral products, rather than 4E products.
