I don't expect to spend anything on 4e unless there is a price drop or super sale on WotC pdfs. I play 3e and not 4e and don't even own a 4e PH yet. I'd be interested in buying a pdf if the price were much lower, but $25 for a pdf PH is too much compared to what else I can get for RPG pdfs.

Possibly I might get a 3pp monster or campaign book if the price is right but I don't expect to.

$0 on 4e for me. Still can't manage to read through the core books.

I'll be buying stuff for True20 and other OGL games, as well as HERO System I suspect.

I'm in the U$500+ club. Books, minis, scenarios, some 4th party stuff, DDI subscription - it all adds up.

And I think it's cheap. Most hobbies other people are engaged in to a similar degree costs a lot more.
The RPG industry would be healthier if people weren't so disinclined to spend money. ;)

So far I'm planning on spending $0 on 4E in 2009. I bought the core books and PDFs before I found out my group had zero interest in 4E (I'm the only one that bought the books in my gaming group). I just don't want to spend money on a system I'm not using. If my group suddenly decides that 4E is their thing, I'll buy almost everything available for 4E.

It's taken a lot of willpower on my part to not buy Adventurer's Vault or Martial Power (I love the Martial classes). I've contemplated getting a DDI subscription but so far I've been able to talk myself out of it.

It feels really strange not pre-ordering products like I did in the 3.X era. ENWorld is a great place to get excited about 4E so I might break down and buy something (DDI is still tempting me if just for the character creator and rules previews). I guess I'm off the WOTC treadmill for now (reluctantly though).

If you have time for another biweekly game let me know. I'm looking to get a 4e game started by the end of March.

Currently, I have no plans to buy 4E stuff, so I'll vote $0. However, if they reprint the core books with included errata, I may (see below) buy a PHB at least.

I also heard that they're going to have some necromancy rituals posted in Feb. I don't know whether it's subscription only or whatnot, but my interest is piqued. At this point not having Animate Dead (I don't care if it's non-combat... I just don't want a reskinned Unseen Servant... undead come in hordes) is a real dealbreaker for me.

But you're asking now, so I'll vote based on now.

For me it will be the PHB2 and the Power books (I believe Arcane and Divine power both come out this year?) Aside from that I might pick up Adventurers Vault 2 based on reviews, so that's likely to put me into the $100 - $200 club, barely. I'm kind of sad to see fewer books released that I'm interested in, but it helps the wallet.
