How much profit do FLAGs make?

I know that Wholesale is usually 60% of the listed price, but are ther anyone out there that is kind enough to tell us about how much profit FLAGS make off the average product. And also, how much they are willing to discount in order to stay competitive, but is still able to make enough to survive?

My FLAG, which sadly closed last year, gave me 10% everytime i came in- only because i would drop by everyday and buy something- even if i don't need or REALLY want. I just feel happy to have him around for me when i need somethign that i always pick up something. Sometims, he feels really generous and gives me 15%, but that is rare.

What's a FLAG?
Friendly Local Addictive Gaming Store. Ever since it closed down, I have been getting withdrawals. I walk by the new store and cry to myself as I stare into the Birkenstock store.

It's a sad, sad day in Gamesville...

I get 25% on everything I special order. It's essentially a garaunteed 15% profit off of MSRP, minus his time, resources and shipping.

He also sells most items slightly below MSRP, depending on volume.

He's also pretty smart - he caught on to Pokemon before anyone else in the city (this is Minneapolis, here) did. Made a small fortune off of that, he did. "How much do you want?" "All of it." Hehehe. His distributor rewarded him for that one, too.

And frankly, he's a nice person to deal with - doesn't dress like a freak, keeps himself, his store, and his employees polite and clean. Combine with common sense business savvy and you have a nicely successful store.
