How often do you see Attacks of Opportunity in your 5e game?

As per the thread title, How often do you see AoOs in your 5e game?

  • In almost every combat encounter:

  • In the large majority of combat encounters:

    Votes: 32 25.8%
  • In roughly half of combat encounters:

    Votes: 24 19.4%
  • In less than half of combat encounters:

    Votes: 22 17.7%
  • I rarely if ever see AoOs in play:

    Votes: 25 20.2%
  • Why is this even a poll?

    Votes: 3 2.4%

The reason why we don't see many OA at all in either TotM or gridless, is because you always choose to provoke an OA, and all my players never chose to do so... they rarely flee for instance, and when they have to do so they still prefer to Disengage rather than Dash.

But what about the monsters?

Aren't they rushing past the heavily armoured character to take out the ones in robes who are creating devastation?

They are pretty omnipresent in my games, though mostly because a lot of playstyle depends on them (using disengage, moving next to an enemy with dash rather than attacking) rather than them actually being executed (though it still happens in most encounters at least once).
