How popular is Warhammer in the UK?

What's a high street? (a few people mentioned stuff being on high streets or not on high streets so I'm assuming it's a term and not a place)

I'm not from the UK or Oz, but a High Street is essentially the main shopping street.

The High Road or High Street use to be the main road through a town, in some towns its is also actually named 'High Street' or 'High Road', but now days the high street is a term now used for the main shopping street. So the high street in Liverpool is called Church Street. Often the high street is pedestrianised, so is no longer the main road through a town, but in smaller towns they the high street is often both the main shopping street and route through town.

Either way Games Workshop often has shops on the high street in the UK and at major shopping centres.

Oh and after looking at GW store locator I was wrong in saying there were about 5 stores in a 40 mile radius, there is more like 10.

GW Liverpool, Southport, Warrington, Chester, Altrincham, Stockport, Manchester, Manchester (trafford Centre)
RS Models, ABC Models, RG Marsh

GW are also producing at the moment 'Battle Games of Middle earth'. A 24 page magazine the every 2 weeks with rules and modeling info together with some figures for about GBP4.00 an issue.

It is for people that have never played before. First issue came with 12 goblins, paint, paint brush, die and cardboard figures. It had simplified rules and a scenario that used the figures etc. Each issue expanded the rules.
