How portable is Ghostwatch, really?

Gnometown Hero
I flipped through this in the store the other day, and was surprised at how much in the book looks worth having in D&D games in general, like Orcus' own breed of demons, various utility undead sorts, and so on. (Sort of like Miniatures Handbook that way.)

But before I drop the money on this, I was wondering how portable it really is to other settings -- does it automatically screw up death in any setting it's used in?

If you are the DM, there is no portability problem. You just have to figure out where you put Manifest on the map. Not everyone is going to hear about the place. If you are trying to add it to an established campaign, it'll be more difficult, unless you stick it way out in the boon docks where the players mysteriously find themselves.

As a player, it could be difficult to get your DM to use any of it. That would be a case by case basis. I got out DM to allow the Bone Collector, but we came from a place with necromancers and a Necropolis, so it wasn't a big stretch.
