Not at all - we regularly loan each other money, or just give it to the person if they are trying to buy something and are short. If its something that could benefit the entire party, usually everyone pitches in - such as wands of healing or scrolls of resurrection.

The PCs in my game don't even divide treasure - they divide magic items by who'll get the most use out of them, and all the monetary wealth goes into "the pool."

They're very nice characters. I loathe nice. ;)

Not in the least. I've had players give away Rings of Deflection +5, I've had them pool their moeny to buy a suingle item for one character, and seen them do all sorts of acts of charity towards each other. It is great when they work together and thingk of others before themsleves...I'm so proud.

Depends on the game.

I'm in one party of Mercs. With a contract to divide spoils using shares.

In another group we're all goody two shoes who donate money to temples and hope for the DM to get us the magic items we need.

Finally, I'm in another were objects are shared evely and money is loaned with just a small markup.

VERY, And not really. Some of us ( the kid next to me right now) Will beg the DM for a better starting package. But I will loan money to someone who needs it, give the armor of my back if it better fits someone else(Did that for a friend in the last one, needless to say, it was the DM's PC), and kill the theif that steel 20 of my gold when I have 1200.( that almost happened too)

Most of my players are very middle of the road, but one character counts every copper piece, never loans anything to another character if she can help it, and has nearly gotten herself killed for money on a regular basis. So, on average, we're only selfish.

Demiurge out.

Can't answer the poll as set up.

Our characters are unselfish toward each other, but through years of having every good deed be punished, are about as mercenary as can be towards every and any NPC.
