How should I run this contest for a free copy of "The Hamlet of Thumble"?

How about having a contest for NPCs from the town of Mullikin? (Which for people who don't know, is a town featured in "The Village of Oester" - it's on the way to Oester).

You can use them as a web enhancement.

Oh, this one is easy. The people who desire to receive it must line up. Then you will go down the line and kick each of them in the head. The last one still concious wins the prize.

Highest Postcount Wins!! :D

Actually, how about creative ways to usea halfing village in a campaign? One of the best parts of the mopdule is the fully stated village that can easily be used anywhere, so go with the strength of the module. And keep it general enough so people don't need to have read or be familiar with the module to participate.

Good idea here. If I'm going to give away something, why not get some free labor for my next product, right? *evil grin*

Just kidding! But I do think it would be a great opportunity for somebody to get their NPC into my third book, "World of Whitethorn 1C: The City of Calas" which should come out sometime next year. It's going to be a big book, so any help with creating interesting NPCs would be great!

I guess the overwhelming consensus is that you guys would like an NPC contest, but how do we make this fun? I have no idea how you run these things.

I think the best way for you to decide, is to pick an NPC and give as many or as few details as you want and then let the submissions roll in. That way you can narrow it down to a specific NPC.
