How to clean a whiteboard?

Gin. And a cotton sock.

Back in my college days, a white sock was sacrificed every year to the whiteboard gods (think a classroom sized whiteboard, 8' by 4') along with a fifth of Beefeater. Leaves the board smelling so nice and piney.... (and it really impresses your players when you take a hit off the whiteboard "cleaning fluid.")

Does anyone know how to restore a worn markerboard? I've got one that has no discernable damage, but I always need to use cleaner to get the marker off. (And, yes, I'm using Expo dry-erase.)

For best results, your eraser must be dry and free of grease. So must the board.
