How to counteract a Disintegrate-happy PC?

One of my player's has a high-level wizard that loves to use disintegrate on NPCs. I need creative suggestions on how to counteract this tactic. I know I could throw antimagic fields at the PCs, but that is going to get old real soon. Assume the NPCs are as intelligent as the PCs when suggesting tactics.

Spell resistance.

Combats at greater distances than medium.

Insane touch AC (concealment, Mirror images or similar stuff).

Total concealment while casting out of fog clouds may help too.

if hes a high level wizard, just give your higher level npcs develop a improved spell turning spell that can deflect ranged touch attacks?

Spell turning wont help but miss chances are fairly easy to pick up and they really, really hurt disintegrate. Touch attack plus SR plus a saving throw all adds up to a pretty easily disrupted spell.
