How to stop a druid from wildshaping?

Wisdom Penalty

First Post
Hi all -

Let's say bad guys have managed to capture a druid PC. The bad guys don't want to let him turn into something furry or feathery to get away. Short of keeping him incapacitated (unconscious, held, asleep, etc.) and without simply using verbal threats - "You do it we'll kill you and your buddies!" - is there a way or ways within the rules to prevent one from wildshaping? I'm talking from items, spells, what-have-you. Any help?

W.P.

[If this should be in the Rules section, please feel free to send it merrily on its way to yon grounds.]

Death or a robe of powerlessness

Just a bit extreme. Would certainly do the trick though.

Isn't there a 'solid walls' option for a Force Cage? Even if he did wild shape, it would do no good. Not sure about the duration though. The Robe or Anti-magin field might be better options.

Stab him in the eye with a stick. Even if he's dumb enough to try it twice, he'll just be bumping into walls as a bear or something.

Resiliant Sphere
Put him in metal armor (Wearing metal armor denies a Druid all spells, supernatural, or spell-like abilities for 24 hours.)
I am pretty sure I once saw some sort of manacles that suppress magic in a sourcebok.. But you could just create such an item for this use if you can't find one already. (Use anti-magic shell as the basis of the manacles.)
Compulsion spells/dominate.
Just a couple of ideas...
Sovereign Glue him into place, say along his back to the floor. Wildshaping in that position might not gain much. Of course, the Druid could try to rip himself off the floor and suck up the damage.

'Somp'n up his butt to split'm iffen 'e gets small 'n 'somp'n around his neck ta cut off 'is 'ead iffen 'e gets to big.

Fear it'elf will stop 'em from doin anything foolish.
