How unbalancing would this be?

The 20 point kicker means fights last a little longer with more hacking.

Two options:

1 some monsters are just hackalicious to make the fights last longer but not increase the threat much. lets you throw in different stuff without adjusting PCs or NPCs and allows mook monsters when you want them.

2 All d20 Hackmaster! everything gets +20 including commoners and PCs. Just expect cleave to not be as useful and fireballs to be even poorer as a one big shot (they normally clear out a bunch of shmoes, now they damage a bunch about half).

option 1 sounds like what I'm going to try at first. Sometimes the fights are so fast, the monsters never get a chance to shine. This way, they'll last longer, and I don't have to worry about beefing them up to the point where they stomp the PC's into paste (because i'm trying to go easier on them since removing resurrection spells). Less paperwork, too. :D
