Homebrew How would stat limiter affect the level penalty

I need help I am creating a homebrew species and I am putting a cap on the wisdom stat and I would like to know how the level penalty would be effected if the stat limit becomes 14?

Can I ask what your interest in limiting a stat is?

To the question a little bit: How often do you find players getting Wisdom to 15 or more? Druids and Clerics certainly, Rangers eventually. I would bet most characters would not find this limitation limiting.

5E doesn't have stat limits in species design so its going to stick out, and stick out bad as a result.

Why are you looking to cap a stat? As mentioned its just screwing over certain class choices and making this species irrelevant to them
