How would you convert these spells?

Real quick-like...

I am playing a sorceress with a storm theme. I am staying very true to the theme... to the point where I cannot fill all of my spell slots using only the PHB, which is all we are allowed to use. The DM gave me permission to attempt to convert the Druid spells that deal with storms, including Windwalk, Whirlwind, Call Lightning, Call Lightning Storm, and the other similar ones into sorcerer spells for my character... mostly because I am not straying from her core idea.

Do you think that upping each spell's level by 1 is too much? How would you suggest changing them over? What about leaving them the same and just saying that my sorceress can access them as if they were on her class list? Any ideas?

Thanks!

I do not think any of these spells scream out un-balanced if used by a sorcerer (at the same comparitive level), especially when said sorcerer already has other self-imposed limitations to their spell choices.

I would keep them same level. Possibly, if your DM insists on a balancing option, create a list of Wiz/Sor spells that your character would never have access to, by virtue of their 'storm' theme.

That's an excellent idea. This would definitely balance out any concern. For each spell you add on to your class spell list, you take one of equivalent power off. For example, add in call lightning, take off fireball.
