How does your group's OOC chatter rate?

  • NC-17 - Absolutely filthy, non-PC, etc. We could make sailors cry. Literally nothing is off limits.

    Votes: 40 33.3%
  • R - Lots of adult humor, but we don't go too far. We respect the more outrageous taboos

    Votes: 34 28.3%
  • PG-13 - Gets a little racy, but nothing you really couldn't find on late night TV

    Votes: 39 32.5%
  • PG - Might not be suitable for the youngest children, but we're pretty clean.

    Votes: 7 5.8%
  • G - Take pains not to be remotely offensive

    Votes: 0 0.0%

Sunday D&D: PG-13. One guy likes to make Howard Stern jokes and another drops the F-bomb when I beat up on his character (and he plays the Barbarian), but overall we're pretty tame.

Sunday Star Wars: PG-13 with occasional forrays into R status. There are kids in the house though, so someone usually puts on the brakes.

Friday Savage Worlds: R with leanings toward NC-17. The Christian GM* and his wife recently moved, so I think this is sort of a backlash now that the yoke is off. The new girl (who didn't game with them) seems to want to push it the farthest though, so it can't all be placed there.

*I'm Christian too, but I usually let other people slide. Not that he was a tyrant, but he would make sure they knew he disapproved.

We're mostly PG-13, although we run over into R on occasion. We've got one player who can turn absolutely anything into a sexual innuendo, so the R-rated sessions tend to be the ones he's present for. But I was raised to believe that nice people don't use the F-word, and for the most part no one else uses it either.

In my group's off-topic conversation, we recently decided that Vecna was a woman, and happened to be pregnant when she attained lich status. Which, of course, means that there's an artifact called the Fetus of Vecna. Its method of activation should be obvious to all present.

I'm intrigued... Would this fetus be activated in the manner which Christopher Reeves used stem cells in South Park? :)

NC-17 for sure.
I'd be kicked off ENWorld for sure if I posted it word for word.

Religion...check
Politics...check
Crude language...check
Jokes using and/or about all of the above...big check.

*dies laughing*

NC-17 all the way, there are no limits to our grotesque descriptions or observations. Hell we're a bunch of college guys, what did you expect?

We're four guys and a gal, and we're definately an R rating, as we lost one the person who insisted the group act PC-13.

For some reason when we get close to NC-17 we know we're veerying too far away from the game, so we refocus.

I'm so up-tight that I don't even allow my players to say words like "shucks" or "crud" at my table.

Well that's not exactly true....they aren't "my" players. I mean, I don't own them or anything. I do own the table...so that part is true.

There was the time when one of the female players said, "Maybe the king will reward us with a Golden Shower for saving his city". That was hilarious because she didn't mean to say that and she didn't even know what that was

We're an R-rated group I'd say. The filthiness is usually directed at each other too :p
