HTML in Plots & Places forum.

I recently tried to post there and have an image show up using HTML code, it didn't work so went looking for the problem. Then I noticed that HTML is turned off for the forum. I was just wondering if this was on purpose and if so, was it a problem before? I know you can use HTML in the general RPG forum.

Even in forums where HTML is enabled, I always try and use vB code, it's much prettier and doesn't have the nasty habit of sending the board formatting to hell that html can have sometimes.

I'm guessing the html was disabled in forums like P&P because people are more apt to post incorrectly tagged tables and lists there when presenting a write up of material than they are on the general forum. Bad list/table tags can wreak havoc on the layout of the boards.

Concidering the much larger turn out on the General RPG forum, why do you say that the Plots forum would have a greater chance of bad tags?

People are more likely to post game material write ups in forums like P&P, and this can include character write-ups and prestige class tables and the like, which are usually given in tables to make them look nice. Problem is, a lot of people botch the tags.

In a forum like General, you mostly have to worry about B/I/U tags and image and url tags, which are harder to foul up, and less likely to trash the whole page if you do botch them.

If you go in your user control panel and make sure the vB code buttons on reply pages option is activated, vB code is extremely simple to use.
