The ring is composed of dust particles in orbit around Fomalhaut, a bright star located just 25 light years away in the constellation Pisces Australis – or the Southern Fish.

That's not SAURON's Eye, people!!!

Do the terms "Lake of Hali" and "Carcosa" mean anything to you?!?!?!

Google, man, Google! There's gotta be some Lovecraft and Derleth scholars around here... ;)

When you find him, don't say the name -- it's supposed to bring his attention!

I love this part:
A recent image captured with the Hubble Space Telescope...confirms that Fomalhaut’s ring is curiously offset with respect to the star...The most likely explanation is that the gravity of one or more unseen planets is dragging the ring askew....it suggests the unseen planets are sweeping up stray dust within the radius of the ring.

I couldn't MAKE a better Mythos prop than this. :D

I'd run and hide if that image was of a planet around Aldebaran. And gibber. Definately a yes on the gibbering.

The fact that it's Formalhaut doesn't make me feel much better -- Formalhaut always seemed to have a sinister reputation in the Mythos.
