Huh? AD&D 2.5 edition??

Huh. That's seems quite strange. Still promoting 1e when 2e is out? Was there actually demand for both?
My copy of Greyhawk Adventures says "Suitable for 1st and 2nd edition AD&D", or words to that effect. Sadly, it doesn't also say "Not a very good book", which it really should...

Hi Kwalish Kid,

Unfortunately I didn't see your post till now. (This thread did sor tof fall off the boards.) I decided to simply attach the project. Hopefully you find some useful information. What exactly were you looking for? If you don't find it in there I may be able to help anyway.

The assignment was basically 'write a 4000-4500 word project about something your interested in./love and tie it into economics of media'.

If I don't see a response in a few days from you, I'll try to remember to drop you an e-mail.

Thondor
Excellent stuff!

Thank you. Any critique? I've been considering reposting it in a new thread about D&D scholar type work or something. Not sure though. It doesn't really fit this thread properly.

What exactly were you looking for ? You have me curious. Were you considering doing a D&D related project . . . or assigning one?

:D . That was quite amusing.
I imagine quite a few of the Campaign settings release after 2e said that they were "Suitable for 1st or 2nd edition AD&D".

Well... look, I make my money through teaching and through working at a writing help centre, so, yeah, I have some quite detailed critiques. I'm sure that over the internet, these critiques might seem somewhat harsh, even though I mean it to help. I do think you did a good job overall, though I don't know the details for your class so I can't really judge the paper that well. I can post here or in another thread or email you, if you'd like.

I'm teaching a media studies class on RPGs in the fall, so I'm consuming a lot of academic information on RPGs. There aren't many actual examples of RPG-related assignments out there. I wanted to see what a student would produce in the way of a bibliography and what a student would produce in the use of language and terminology. Your assignment has given me some ideas for instructions that I will give to my class for their assignments.
