I'm not sure how Fox is to blame. If poeople don't watch then they don't watch.

I assumed Fox's shuffling of the show around between Mondays and Wednesdays had something to do with the ratings screw-up, but this doesn't seem to be the case: ratings stayed fairly even when the show got moved to another day.

In case anyone was assuming that the major changes in writing and focus are the reason why ratings fell below 5 share in Season 2 ... ratings inexplicably rose for the last 3 episodes of the season, from 7.75 to 9.22 million to 8.13 million viewers for the finale. I'm sure the executives are scratching their heads about that one.

I have no idea if the last-minute boost in viewers will be enough to grant the show another season, but the Season 2 finale did better than half of the episodes from Season 1, and the penultimate Season 2 episode was the 4th highest rated episode of the series so far ... so let's hope?

I suspect that's due to the American Idol lead-in.

Barring some miracle, I'm really gonna miss this show. The fact that Fringe may be finished as well stings even more. :.-(
