Hybrids

The Hybrid template is going to be in the Tome of Horrors, due to be released on Monday, November 11.

WOOHOO!

The hybrid has been renamed the Abomination, but all in all it is unchanged from what you see here.

They even used the Tigrilla and Owlephant as the sample creatures.

Don't feel bad about giving Hybrids funny names. I once made up a creature called a spidorc fusing a spider and an orc. Drow don't like them at all and usually just call them 'dorcs. lol

<LOL> :p

Erica: Got any ideas about the spells? It would be kinda bad if we have this excellent template, but our evil wizards/sorcerers/psions/clerics have no way of using it.

Not yet. I had alread submitted the Hybrid/Abomination template to Necromancer Games when the idea for the spell came out.

Maybe once the Tome of Horrors comes out, you can petition Necromancer to add the "create hybrid" spell to a web enhancement?

That would be great, especially if the spell were 'fan created" by you great folks here at EnWorld. :D

(hint, hint ...) ;)

In February, Mongoose Publishing will release the latest in their Encyclopaedia Arcane line, this one entitled Magical Crossbreeding. It should have all of the rules necessary to create hybrids of the type discussed here.

Richards/Jonathan: Um, we allready have the template (Actually we have several, if you count the Tauric and Chimeric templates in MM2), we just need the spell. :D
