First, I'd like to apologize to Alsih2o for getting his thread "what is 1st edition feel" closed in General.

Second, I'd like to apologize to anyone else I might have offended with my comments.

I totally respect anyone's desire to play whichever system they are most comfortable with.

I'm just inately curious, so when people do things that I don't understand, I genuinely want to understand them. And if my questions, or comments seem out of line, they certainly aren't intended in that manner. And I apologize.

In all fairness, I think we were having a really good discussion, and I'm saddened to see the thread closed.

i think you and i got into this back on the Mortality.net boards when they were first formed.

i actually refused to buy products or endorse them from a company you worked for at the time. i was so ticked.

and it takes a lot to get me riled.

but i wasn't upset this time around.

Wow. Really? I totally don't remember that. If that's true, then I apologize for that as well! Despite the fact that we probably disagree over the choice of rules we use in our respective games, I've no doubt that I would totally enjoy playing in any game you run, regardless of ruleset.

that's okay we smoothed it out almost 2 years ago.

i bought a boatload of stuff at Gen Con Indy 03 to make up for my previous drought.

Thanks for the apology; I'm really pleased that no one lost their temper in the thread, or clearly posted maliciously. I just wish that people could discuss aspects of 1e without derailing a thread into derogatory comparisons with other editions. That's what I was asking for, in order to keep it on topic; it didn't happen, so closed it went.
