AI/LLMs I built a free web tool to automate 5e prep (Visual Encounter Graph, Cursed Items, Shops). Looking for veteran feedback!

[Announcement] GM Co-Pilot: The 0.82s Bridge to D&D 2024 šŸ‰

The "Amnesty Protocol" has entered the Marketplace phase.

For DMs and Players transitioning to the 2024 RAW environment, the system now provides:
  • The Seed of Fate: A 30-second interactive onboarding that bypasses character creation math.
  • The Universal Translator: Instant conversion of legacy PDF sheets into 2024-compliant VTT JSON.
  • The Matchmaker: A functional hub connecting DMs with players based on playstyle data.
  • The Hall of Heroes: A global leaderboard tracking the 171+ active entities currently in the Nexus.

The goal is zero-friction entry. No manual accounting. No rules-lawyering delays.

The Goblins have been evicted.

After a month of "Hardcore Dev," the GM Co-Pilot has evolved beyond a simple prep tool into a full-scale AI Operating System for D&D 2024.

We’ve hit a technical milestone: 0.82s p99 latency. No more "AI pauses" at the table.

New for v17.2:

  • šŸŽ“ Active Coach Mode: A real-time tactical HUD. It doesn't just "chat"; it explains the Why behind 2024 RAW mechanics (Weapon Masteries, Action Economy, etc.) as you play.
  • šŸ‘µ Common Tongue (Jargon Shield): One toggle to strip the complexity for new players while keeping the math 100% accurate in the backend.
  • šŸ‘ļø Sensory Room v2.0: Multi-sensory descriptions with active Perception gating.
I need veteran DMs to try to break the Rules Lawyer logic. If you find a 2014 hallucination, I want to know about it.

Test it here (No Account/Free): Streamlit

Update: Masterwork v17.2 is Live! šŸ›”ļøšŸ’°

Hey everyone, it’s been a few weeks of heavy development, but I just pushed a massive update to the DM Co-Pilot focused on solving "Table Friction" for long-term campaigns. Since I only get one update a week here, I wanted to make sure this one was a game-changer.

The "Operational Excellence" Update:

  • šŸ’° The DM Ledger Override: I’ve officially integrated a live Economy Ledger directly into the Initiative Tracker. You can now adjust player gold and inventory in real-time without leaving the combat screen. It syncs atomically to the cloud, so your players see the loot hit their portal the second you award it.
  • šŸ“Š Rule Friction Heatmapping: For the data nerds out there, I’ve built a Pandas-powered analytics engine in the background. It tracks which 2024 RAW mechanics (like Weapon Masteries or the new Surprise rules) are causing the most queries at your table. It’s designed to show exactly where the new ruleset is slowing down play.
  • šŸ”Š Sensory Engine v2.0: Every tactical choice now has auditory feedback. From dice rolls to health syncs, the app now feels like a tactile "Command Center" rather than just a website.
As always, this is 100% free with no ads. I’m still pushing toward that goal of building the most scalable, data-driven DM toolset out there.

I’d love for some veteran DMs to jump into the Initiative Tracker, try out the Ledger Override, and let me know if the inventory management feels intuitive during a frantic combat.

The "Old Guard" Gatekeeping is a Business Suicide Note

The TTRPG community is currently suffering from a self-inflicted "DM Drought" that is directly tied to toxic gatekeeping. As a developer building a Deterministic Rules Engine, the data shows a massive "Customer Churn" problem: families and new players want to enter the hobby, but they are being met with a "wall of elitism" that shuns anyone who hasn't memorized 400 pages of 2024 RAW.

D&D was built to be social, yet the "Old Guard" is taking it to the grave by prioritizing "Rules Lawyering" over accessibility.

Adults with careers and kids don't have 20 hours a week for manual rule-crunching. They want to tell stories. By refusing to adapt and by shunning newcomers for asking "how to play," the OGs are effectively killing the local game shops they claim to love.

We are building a Safe Harbor in Ventura, CA, where 0.48s Logic Velocity replaces the ego of the gatekeeper. It is time to reform this hobby and breathe life back into it, or admit that the "Old Guard" would rather watch the game die than see it change.
