I can't WAIT for this month's character builder update!

My guess is first that it's harder to do. Easy to pull up data on gods cause we already know what they are - harder to go through and database up everything from the various adventures... especially if unlike monsters they weren't planning on it.

Yeah... sounds logical I guess. Still gimmie traps/hazzrds. :)

Another idea is that tab will be released/unlocked to coincide with an Excerpt from DMG2 about new traps... kind of get yourself excited for the options of traps/hazards which I'd guess DMG2 is going to be really heavy on.

That would be cool... Sometimes I think they could ahve released a 4th book that was like a MM but with traps/hazzards in it instead of monsters, and just put trap/hazzard creation rules in the DMG.

I played my druid for the first time yesterday. I will echo what most people said on here. My ability to fill in a character sheet has atrophied to such an extreme degree that I was intentionally skipping parts (rituals, for instance) just to get it done! I ended up with an underpowered character, but I was willing to suffer just so I didn't have to write anymore  I can't believe how lazy I've become.

I'd love to see a 3PP book of traps/hazards, sort of akin to Goodman's Big Book 'O Rituals that's coming up.

I have to agree with everyone posting that they don't want to make characters without the CB but here's the thing, I never really made characters "just for fun" before the CB. If I had to start over with my character I might make a Bard or possibly an Avenger for a game even if I didn't have the CB but I'm certainly not going to take the time to write one up just to see what would happen.

Of course now that the CB is out I make "just for fun" characters all the time. In fact I'm becoming sort of addicted to it.

That said I still love having the book. Nothing beats that.

How do I do that?

From Wizards' boards:

- Shut down the Character Builder and any Character Sheets currently open
- Click the Windows Start button
- Click "Control Panel"
- Click "Classic View" (in the left hand side at the top)
- Click the icon for "Regional and Language Options"
- In the first tab "Formats" select from the dropdown "English (United States)"
- Click the "OK" button at the bottom and launch the Character Builder
- Voila! Now the rest of us non-Americans/non-English people can also enjoy our Power Cards

This bears repeating. I managed to make a 1-sheet horizontal PC sheet that covers pretty much everything I need, kinda mimicking the sheet design I did for FDP's BattleBox. I just wish magic items would be listed in the Equipment box, and that the Character Portrait thing started working again.

Well stop teasing us already and provide the link to your custom layout. I for one, am interested! :D

I attached a sreeencap. It's 4 main columns:

- Ability Scores, Skills, Languages
- Defenses, Racial features, Class features
- Initiative, Senses, Action Points, Feats (I wish the feat block was smaller)
- Hit Points, Basic Attacks, Other Equipment.

If the Character Portrait window was smaller, I'd have added it there.
