I finally figured out the reason to bring back Ray Harryhausen! Even todays modern CGI can't make Keanu Reeves and Hayden Christiansen act life-like!

The stop-motion animation is working pretty well for Hayden Christensen in Episode II. Very smooth motions - congratulations, ILM!

While the second one is certainly possible, it seems pretty far out of the way. Not only that, Han culture developed on the Yellow River and only gradually spread south and east. Anywhere near any coasts will be the periphery of China during any Sinbad-ish time period.

I dunno. The whole thing sounds pretty far-fetched.

Well, true, but I still don't see what the point of going to China is, except to make it into essentially a kung fu movie.

And if they're gonna do that, they shoulda cast someone besides Keanu Reeves. He isn't exactly convincing as a kung fu guy, although he certainly tries to be. :\

They're probably trying to stay "true" to the original story, since it took place in China. Or at least they can say they tried to stay true to it and then butcher it accordingly.

And I think what you meant to say is "He isn't exactly convincing as a [insert any role he's had besides Ted "Theodore" Logan here] guy..."
