I think it is more that I never found my favourite fantasy species, but dwarves are not them.I don’t think it’s weird. There’s a lot to love about dwarves.
But I want to see what they could be.

Dwarves are one of the classic fantasy species that I do not "get." I have never found them particularly appealing (not that I really dislike them either) and there is significant chance that if I make a version of dwarves that is appealing to me, I accidentally eradicate what dwarf fans liked about them in the first place.I think it is more that I never found my favourite fantasy species, but dwarves are not them.

I have always been dedicated to the dwarves, I will play one in any system that supports them. My "fanaticism" comes from their stereotypes. They were so many things that I wasn't when I was a kid, that I wished I could be. In games I was able to be that brash character who got things done through sheer will and determination. Every other option felt too much like playing myself.that is very true dwarves had fantical fans it is kind of strange.
