i was looking up satanism just befor for my own personal intrest(im agnostic) and i found all this stuff about how DnD is bad and evil. I am totally sick of this..if you kill yourself because of DnD you have other mental problems.

Anyway thats my 2cents what do you others think?

Two things-

If no one posted this- umm, stuff then it would not be read and thus would pass into the waste land of No Where Land (it could keep my old campaigns company :) )

Second- people who post this- umm, stuff want you all to go there and check it out in hopes that it will change the reader, make them want to throw there gaming books into a burn pile and light them up.

Something to learn from this- don't respond in these threads, let them die out, if you want to go check out the site then do so. I mean Freedom of Speech and all is great, and these people have a right to voice, but this is a set up in this forum and posters in this thread (yes, me included) are just keeping it around longer.

Thanks for allowing me to voice a thought.

Please tell me that you didn't just say that intelligent people tend to be poor spellers. Please tell me I misunderstood. Please tell me that, if you did in fact mean that, you were joking. Please.

Have you spellchecked this thread?

Yes, I meant gamers tend to be poor spellers, and most gamers I know are quite intelligent. Is there a connection?
The only reason I have a lower-than-average misspell rate is the prodigious usage of the "Backspace" key.
(did I spell all that right?)

How come something like this pops up every few months? I mean come on if your going to worship something evil, use a britney spears poster or something.. I mean these people really need a hug or something.

Buddhists believe in reincarnation. Are they mentally ill?

No, because you can't prove or disprove reincarnation. However, it should be rather easy to prove that playing D&D has never resulted in a portal from hell opening and the world being flooded with demons and devils.

By posting this, I'm removing a funny coincidence, but nonetheless..

I had to post because the irony of this post next to the "is it evil to have a deal with a devil" thread right next to it was just too much to ignore.

No, not really. Saying

Gamers tend to be poor spellers & Most gamers are quite intelligent => quite intelligent people tend to be poor spellers

is like saying

Einstein was a genius & Einstein was a man => men are geniuses (or whatever the plural of genius is!)

Not wanting to be a nit picker, but Backspace doesn't correct an inability to spell words (you need a spellchecker for that), it corrects the inability to type words accurately at the speed at which you type. In otherwords, typos rather than misspelling.
But yes, as I imagine you know, you did spell all that right.
