I got an RPG job!

Tom Cashel

First Post
After 20+ years in the hobby, I have finally gotten my foot in the door of the RPG industry, and my first job is a doozy.

Troll Lord Games has hired me as a freelance editor, and I'm working on the "Castle Zagyg" supplement, authored by the one, the only, Gary Gygax.

It's just an amazing opportunity, very exciting, and EN World made it possible. (I was contacted based on posts I made here.)

It was quite tough to keep the fanboy in check until I was sure I had the job. :o

Of course I can't really say anything about the content, except that those of you who dig Castles & Crusades and also dig Gygax are going to absolutely love this thing. I had a few "wow" moments in only the first 3 pages.

Anyway...sorry for the vanity thread but I just had to share.

Congratulations, Tom. May your pen fly true, slicing through the detritus of typoes and poor grammar, yet leaving surgically pure the wit, wisdom, and original intent of the author. May your red lines and retypes move deftly and gracefully, and may your deadlines be precise and well-met.

Or something like that. :)

May your skin grow thick as well. This place can be kind of harsh where editing is concerned. :D

do you want to use "where" in the context of the sentence?
and "this place" is a poor choice also. ENWorld is a much better subject.
