Upon entering this area of Xagyg's dungeon, any weapon that a Ranger wields will instantly transform into a +1 Hockey-Stick of Cold, which is a blunt, two-handed Exotic Weapon (so be sure to include the -4 Non-Proficiency Penalty). Also note that this weapon requires two hands to use, thus making the Ranger's Two-Weapon and Archery fighting styles totally nerfed...

Again I say: Bah!
