Okay, I saw a post about the creature by poll thing, and it got me thinking. Me, I like dice. I always loved those random creatures from the lower planes tables in the old DMG. So I decided to analyze the creatures in the SRD and make Random Monster generation tables based off the distributions.
Being an obsessive/compulsive type, I spent all my free time the last two weeks working on it. The resulting 15 page pdf is available on my web site at www.xenomind.com/ana/index.html
Here is the first random creature made off of the full set of tables. Enjoy:
VOLCANO SPIRIT
Huge Elemental (Earth)
Hit Dice: 38d8+104 (275)
Initiative: +6
Speed: 40 ft., climb 50 ft.
AC: 29 (+2 Dex, +17 natural)
Attacks: Slam +29/+24/+19/+14 melee
Damage: Slam 2d8+7
Face/Reach: 10 ft. by 10 ft./15ft.
Special Attacks: Avalanche, earthquake
Special Qualities: DR 20/+3, immune to fire, mountain sense
Saves: Fort +24, Ref +17, Will +15
Abilities: Str 25, Dex 14, Con 16, Int 6, Wis 11, Cha 11
Skills: Listen +30, Spot +30
Feats: Cleave, Combat Reflexes, Great Cleave, Improved Critical, Improved Initiative, Power Attack, Sunder
Climate/Terrain: Any mountains (volcanos)

Advancement: 39-76 HD (huge)
Volcano spirits are earth elementals who have taken a liking to a particular volcano. They guard that volcano, making sure none harm it. Mining, large battles, carving, or even hammering in a few pitons will arouse a volcano spirit's ire.
COMBAT
Good ones will usually give a warning and demand to leave before killing anybody. Evil ones just attack. In either case, they will go for the higher ground so they can use their avalanche ability.
Avalanche (Sp): If the volcano spirit is uphill from a target, it may spew rocks downhill. This a ranged touch attack at +24 doing 4d6+10 damage. If the target takes damage, they must make a reflex save with DC 29 or fall prone.
Earthquake (Sp): Volcano spirits may cause an earthquake once per day. Treat this as the earthquake spell as if cast by a 20th level sorceror.
Mountain Sense (Su): A volcano spirit is closely attuned to it's favored volcano. It is aware of any creature on or in the volcano, or within the crater of the volcano. It is instantly aware of any changes that occur to the volcano.
