I guess I am a rules lawyer... Is that so bad

I think my finest moment as a Rules Monkey was the time an NPC criticalled my character into negatives, and then I pointed out the longspears actually do triple damage on a critical, thereby killing my character.

Heh I love it when I rules monkey myself into oblivion. I love it more when I rule monkey myself into living. once I was playing a rogue/wizard member of the scarlet brotherhood, on an infiltration assignmet of some petty mercenary warloard when our cover was blown. My compatriate was held, I made my save and bolted with a tumble, a haste, and shield spell round 1. I then cast fly and flew for it.(had an endure elments and cats grace up from the begining of the day) I got fire balled and I knew my roll would make the DC of the save, and I knew I was missing something. This was pre-errata shield and I said ha-ha my shield was facing backwards that's a +3 to my reflex save and my cats grace imprved my dex by 2 for a +1 so I just amde the save 1/2 damage I'm alive and have 1 hp. Round 3 I cast invis and flew some more, and away I went.
