dori, getting a grad degree, decides she wants to be a caster, i explain them and she decides elven sorcerer. jack decides on a half-orc barbarian and my wife wanted to be a halfling rogue. i tossed together a cleric npc for them and walked them through roling stats,the used the character generator t make the rest easier.

Nobody ever wants to play the cleric!

what is funny is the rapper is a devout christian and the way i knew he might be interested was him rapping (on his album, due out enxt month) "i'm the dragon slayer, i'm in the dragons lair, kill me and i ressurect with a silent prayer" and i thought"hmmm, sounds like a party medic"

btw, reggies album comes out under the name "aqua blaq" look for it, it pretty much rocks. no cursing, lotsa good muzak.

After hearing you tell stories about some of these folks in Indy, it's great to hear that its coming together...and they're having fun!

I don't know if I could get my girlfriend to play...she's just not into the whole fantasy genre...though her growing love of LoTR and Buffy gives me hope!

Good luck, and may crazy hicks never draw shotguns on ya! ( I get to go to a town council meeting tonight to complain about cray dirtbike-track-neighbor-hick-guy...and I am kinda worried he's gonna bring a gun... )

i think i have some real recruits here. not only have they said they want to play again, the offered a date, and think it might be good to do it twice monthly.


on another note, jack, who works with my wife asks how i am. she tells him of my recent struggles with computer problems. he says- "man, why would someone spend time making a computer virus? people like that define chaotic evil."

I have picked up the Gauntlet that Clay tossed down and agreed to run a game for 4 of the Newbies on my waiting list.

• My Girlfriend, who hasn't played since she walked away from the game at age 16 .
• A fiend of ours who's involved in the Stage/film industry who thinks it sounds a lot like improvisational theatre.
• My 11 year old stepdaughter
• Our downstairs boarder who is a trained clown. I you not.

I will be going with re-working of "Caravan to Ein Arris" (the intro module at the back of the GURPS Core Book(4th edition) as their adventure.
