I'm pretty picky on what I buy. Most of that has to do with the fact that I've been a player for the most part. So, I've not had the need to acquire lots of sourcebooks. I can definitely see how being a player versus being a DM would affect one's purchasing habits.
But, I'm currently working on a campaign with the intent that I run it someday. So, I've got my eye on more things now than I ever did.
Aside from the core books, the FRCS, and the MotP, I probably only have about 6-7 d20 books, and some of those were given to me since I write for TG/MEG. Philip J. Reed's Book of unusual treasures just arrived in the mail today, and that's one of the first things I've bought in a long time. Last one I picked up was the Tome of Horrors, which is just awesome.
I'm looking at getting a module (can't think of the name) by Monkeygod that I believe will fit nicely into my campaign plans, the MM II, and a few other sundry things that I think might augment my game.
But, my purchases usually only consist of D&D-related things. I'm just not a big fan of modern, or sci-fi, or any of that other stuff.
