I have the PHII...

I have an archer who's just hit 9th in my Tuesday campaign (The Adventures of Burne and Some Others of Lesser Importance). Is there any good crunch for me in the PHB II?

I bet they are simply running behind. Heck, they just recently posted the City of the Spider Queen art gallery!

I don't know about that. When I saw that the Spider Queen art was up, I started to save the pictures when I realized I already had the art gallery for that book. If I didn't get if from the WotC site, where did I get them?

Does leap of the heavens work just like it notes on wotc's site? I have a character and this feat might be perfect for him.

yep: no doubling DC for a Jump check without a running start - if you *do* get a running start (20 ft.) you receive +5 to your Jump check. Very cool feat IMHO (especially for the barbarian/fighter/rogue in our campaign with a Jump check of +17 or so...)

Honestly...I don't know. :uhoh:

They also recently posted a Savage Species art gallery and a web enhancement for Stormwrack.

Got it yesterday. This book rocks!

Both the feats and spells chapters are the strongest part of the book. I'm sure some folks will cry "power creep!" when they read 'em, but I think they've finally made a book where the bulk of the feats are on par with the core feats. I can see easily half of them in frequent use.
The test will be when the high HD low CR monsters start taking these feats. :]

...or cleave them all

...or target a separate magic missle at each one

...or hit with multiple attacks

Plus, some seem to have no use at all that I can find. Like the spell that lets you teleport someone up to 30 feet away if you touch them and they make a will save. Generally there is no real reason to waste a spell slot teleporting someone 30 feet when using it on an ally. If you do use it, it is in a very rare situation. Against an enemy, it requires a will save and only moves them 30 feet. It's not very useful unless there is somewhere very close nearby where they will be SAFE but out of the way somehow.

That spell seems pretty weak. What level is it? Considering the sheer number of will-or-be incapacitated (dominate, hold, etc) spells out there, a touch based "bump" should be 3rd or so (shorter range than dim door, but can work on unwilling targets), and a weak 3rd at that. It seems balanced under the assumption that some massive combo is already in place. I dont balance fireball under the assumption that the PC's have lured the villain into a spot in a paper mache house situated over a pit of gasoline filled with rabid fiendish sharks.
