I know how to play but can someone explain this?

here are random stats of the first character i saw(thanks to the owner):


Name: Rusty(I know this)
Rank: Yellow Belt 0(I know this but what is with the zero?)
Record: 2 wins, 1 loss(I know this)
Powers: Signature Style (Lizard), Dojo Style (Wolf), Fist of Fury(I don't know this)
Items: none(I don't know this)
Yen: 0(I don't know this)

Can you tell me what I don't know and how does it work. Thanks for your help.

As to your specific questions.

The zero after the belt indicates rank within the tier. There are seven tiers for each path (class) and each tier has different ranks. A yellow 1 outranks a yellow0 and is outranked by a yellow 2. When you reach the final rank and win you advance to the next tier.

Each path has path specific powers. The higher the tier the more powers a fighter has. The rules explain each power.

During fights it is possible to gain yen. When you have enough yen you can buy and power up 1 item. The powers available to items (as well as the cost) are also explained in the rules.
