Umm ...

1. Urban Rangers get Shadow instead of Track and a couple of different classk skill changes. Nothing major to a template change.

2. Instead of Using Bugbears for the adventure Vanity in Dungeon, i am using ratmen from Scarred Lands with a Wererat as their leader. This be him. And its an evil weapon anyway so they will be trying to get rid of it.

I'm not sure what the exact question is.

Were you born a human, or born a wererat - it does make a difference.

If you were born human, you get the bonus skills and feats, but you might want to take Control Shape skill.

If you were born a wererat, then you should get neither.

However, this is just my opinion - the rules may disagree with me :)

AC: for a wererat, you always get natural armor +2, regardless of form. There is no stacking of their natural armor or anything weird like that.

Attacks: A hybrid wererat gets both a natural attack (bite) and an attack with a weapon. You get Weapon Finesse (bite) and with a weapon of choice. You can attack with a bite and a dagger, for instance, suffering a -2 penalty to whichever one of these is your secondary attack. (I would let you choose - you probably want the dagger to be primary.)

Alternate Form (Su): All lycanthropes can shift into animal form as though using the polymorph self spell (though their gear does not change). Wererats, weretigers, and werewolves also can assume a bipedal hybrid form with prehensile hands and animalistic features. Changing to or from animal or hybrid form is a standard action. Upon assuming either form, the lycanthrope regains hit points as if having rested for a day. A slain lycanthrope reverts to its humanoid form, although it remains dead. Separated body parts retains their animal form, however. This shapeshifting ability can be difficult to control (see Lycanthropy as an Affliction, below).

Damage Reduction (Ex): A lycanthrope in animal or hybrid form gains damage reduction 15/silver.

Saves: The base saves are as for the character or animal, whichever is better. (Base saves +2 Fort and Will.) In addition, lycanthropes receive a +2 racial bonus to Fortitude and Will saves. (Being a ranger, you would get a +2 bonus to your Will save, then apply the +2 racial bonuses to Fort and Will.)

Abilities: For a lycanthrope in humanoid form, ability scores are unchanged. In animal or hybrid form, a lycanthrope’s ability scores improve by type, as set out in the table below.

Skills: Lycanthropes receive a +4 racial bonus to Search, Spot, and Listen checks when in humanoid form. In animal or hybrid form, these bonuses increase to +8. A lycanthrope in hybrid or animal form gains the same skills as a normal animal of its form in addition to the character’s skills. If a lycanthrope has a skill in both its humanoid and animal forms, use the better score. Afflicted lycanthropes also can learn the Control Shape skill (see the sidebar) as a class skill.

Wererat Dire rat Dex +6, Con +2 Multiattack (despite only one natural weapon), Weapon Finesse (bite), Weapon Finesse (any)

Unlike other werecreatures, you don't just gain the dire rat's racial ability modifiers (eg no Strength bonus).

Hit Points: I would use the higher Con score to determine hit points.

Skills (ranks are in parenthesis): Spot 12/16 (3), Listen 10/14 (3), Search 7/11 (1), Intimidate 2 (0), Bluff 2 (0), Hide 11 (5), Move Silently 9 (5), Gather Information 3 (1), Diplomacy 2 (0), Craft (Poisons) 4 (2), Knowledge (Local) 4 (2), Climb 2 (1), Handle Animal 3 (1), Heal 4 (1), Intuit Direction 5 (2), Swim 4 (3), Wilderness Lore 8 (5); Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot

Add Weapon Finesse (bite) and one more Weapon Finesse for free.

In addition, any Dex-based skills (eg Hide) will rise when you are in were-rat or hybrid form.
