I like D&D

Just thought you ought to know. Tonight is most likely the culminating session of a campaign that's gone on since the beginning of 3E, with a bunch of 20th level characters in a showdown against the penultimate menace of the ShadowTaker, where virtuous heroes will lock in combat with the assembled forces of the abyss, the realm of shadows and the "spider" at the center of the web.

Friends will gather at the table, and much fun will be had. Spells will be cast, swords will be swung, and much snacks will consumed to the sound of rolling dice.

With all the unhappy posts lately, I just thought I'd mention that I really love this game, ya' know?

My friend lives in Malvern.

I'm only five hours away from Malvern.

I want to be in Malvern tonight too! Bah!

Have fun rolling them bones, Dru, Zad, and Co.!

Cheers,
Destan

P.S. I, in turn, will be laying piles of mulch down behind my house. :0

Yes. DnD is good in my opinion basically because it harkens back to the very old days when people used to gather round every night to eat, tell stories and play games of chance - often using dice. You just don't see that much anymore...

OT: Tabarnak Smokeblower: your iconic should be named "Dwayne" or something like that. To me, Bubba is the name for a chubby white guy, not a skinny black guy.

Whoa, you're in Malvern, WizarDru? I'm in Berwyn. I wonder how many people on here don't even know that they're near other people. (ignore the info under my name, i'm not actually in Hell, Minnesota ;) )

Well, I guess the town in my info doesn't lend itself to people thinking they're near me, huh?

That's your choice. Personally, I think you'd make a great Shadowtaker.

I love Dungeons and Dragons, can't say I love all the editions but I love the game and the philosophy behind it set down by EGG & the others who created it. I love some editions, could care less for others, and have a love/hate relationship with one. D&D was never a "generic" fantasy game to me, it was D&D with all that implied and all the history behind it.
