I love those gnomes!

I hope I don't become a target for "gnoming" for saying this, but I have to say I love those gnome pics! I especially liked the one with the gnome in front of the DM screen for the guy who wanted to take over his players' PCs and convert them to NPCs. Who else likes the gnomes? Actually, I think I would be honored to be "gnomed". There's something about gnomes that are annoying and yet funny. I can't put my finger on it. Hehe. :D

Gnomes are excellent, they are ingenious in mechanical design,a bit absentminded (at least all the ones I have ever read about),and very friendly....how could anyone not like gnomes?

I, however, hate those gnomes!

Bah, gnomes! Wretched little things - dwarf wannabees in 1st & 2nd editions, and now halfling wannabees in 3rd edition! A race with no proper sense of identity, and no niche to fill, that's what they are! If I had my way, the little pukes would be written out of 3.5, and it would be legal to pimpslap anyone caught playing one.

I detest gnomes, especially tinker gnomes, with a passion. Nothing worse than a comic-relief technobabbling little pest mucking up the campaign.

Thanks that my photoshopping labours are appreciated!

I can't remember being that overt in saying I wanted to take over PCs though... on the other hand, my writing style is convoluted on occasion, so I might have written something which was more likely to be interpreted in a certain way.

Rav "Gnomes should have pointy hats."

Tinkers are to gnomes what kenders are to halflings and gullies are to dwarves: an aberration that should be ignored, forgotten, and erased from all records and memories.

Most material portrays gnomes as technophile, not fey, since Dragonlance. I would have nothing against magical gnomes, or just sensible gnomes, but the usual stereotype known among gamers is the more or less crazy, techodabbling prankster gnome. And so far I don't need gnomes either (in one campaign they are banned from the two central countries, and it works just fine).

Don't get me wrong - I detest the standard gnome and the tinker (as a PC, they make decent fiction or NPCs). Rien poortvliet's gnome, that one has it's own identity. A bit fey/druidish really.
