I made a terrible life decision…

The biggest takeaway, other than the impressive size of the collection, is that there is a Dallas box set.
Oddly, as part of my collection, I also have a Dallas game. The Game Store had several when I was in college and was giving them away. Don't think it has ever been played. No Gorn but I do have a Harcourt Fenton Mudd figure.

Task for later today is to pickup 3 large bookcases purchased for $1 each from a local college surplus auction. Real wood with plywood shelving. One is for a friend organizing his collection of gaming stuff. Keeping 2 to better organize my stuff.

Odd how books have different scents. Paper, finish, ink, binding, ???

I always find these detailed shelfies so interesting. A lot communicated by what's there -- a lot of stuff from the 1980s, a lot of stuff that is known for their systems -- and what's not -- not a lot of lighter weight indie games, etc.

Oof! I know your pain! Moved earlier in the year, still have to unpack all 56 boxes (52L each) of RPG/wargaming books, that's not counting the room with the board/cardgame collection, and the room with the miniatures collection... And then the realization that this is ridiculous and you need to downsize...

The hardest decision in this process: alphabetically, by company, or by genre?
I generally sort by product number...

I concede to your superior* geekness. /bows

*I do have more boxes in the storage room, but that's not enough to rival you.

When i moved I divested myself of 95% of my collection, giving it to a friend who is a convention organizer and sold some bits and gave away others as game prizes. I similarly gave away my comic collection a friend who is a teacher at a private school to go to the library.
