I made up a rumour that 7e is coming!

I'm sorry I was rough there, I know it's hard to keep track of editions these days. I really think TSotC needs to just release The Return of AD&D8e: The Second Coming, Part II so we could all be on the same page again.

No, no, that was LAST week! This week's release is Basic D&D Revisited, Revenge of the Elf. I think NEXT week is 666e, Return of the Tanaarii!

How can they return when The Abyss has become the Land of Flowing Chocolate and Candy Canes? Wouldn't they rather dwell in Limbo where they can build on a nice, solid, unchanging foundation of law and order? Or are they being retconned as Stay Pufft Marshmallow Men?

Oh, but those chocolate demons, they're just NASTY! Not half as bad as the candy cane slaad though!

But 7e CAN'T be coming since broken clocks are right twice a day and internet rumors are just rumors and nothing is evidence for anything ever and besides I just can't stand when my game of choice (6.25e) to be criticized or found lacking by any other people just eager for it to fail who should just shut up and not rain on my sexy parade since 6.25e is clearly superior and nothing that will come after will ever change it, but oh look they hired back James Wyatt, so I wonder if this edition will make all the same mistakes that we made with 4e that we so clearly fixed with 6.25e.

It scares me when I invest my personal happiness in an external product cycle.

Someone hold me, or at least give me snarky supportive XP to make all those people rooting for 6.25e to fail all angry.

I for one salute our new 7e overlords!

Not in 7th edition. They murged salute and other similiar powers into a single 'Gesture' action.

And overlords are no longer a specific monster, but are replaced by the new designate 'megasolo' monsters, which are to indicate supersolo monsters that only have five henchmen in the battle.

So, the 7th edition term is 'I, for one, spend my now action to gesture the new megasolos of clan Seventh.'

Well, WE play 7e with the Monsters of Ars Slashica and the Dialectic of Actions book. I don't know how you HEATHENS play, but we uphold tradition and salutes are an Ironic Action like they should be!

Bad news everyone. I just broke into all your houses and took back all the books from edition 4.5 onwards.

You are all not worthy

So unworthy.

This actually just gave me a genuinely cool idea...
