I may not be switching to D&D 3.5 (Crossposted)

eh

I have downloaded and tried almost every demo or shareware program floating around on the net for D&D character and campaign management and even purchased a few. I have found none of them to really be much help or easy to use.

Most of my notes I keep in an old fashion notebook and notecard box. I may use my computer to print out handouts and monster stats but that is about it. Most NPCs do not really need stats since my players do not random try and kill everything.

Will I switch over to 3.5? Yep! I welcome the changes!!

I feel that if a PnP RPG gets so complicated that a computer is absolutely required, its not worth playing for me. If that were the case, we should just bring some LAN cables to our session and play Neverwinter Nights.

I use looseleaf paper and pencils whenever I can. Pocket calculator is the only hi-tech thing at the table---except maybe the boom-box, on which we play our geek music.

But now if you'll allow me to be a hypocrite, I do use the PC to prepare stuff- I use CC2 to make counters and maps, my campaign journal is a Word doc, and I use the net, of course, to get news and advice from you fine people.:)

But enough about me. How is everyone this evening? Good, good.
