I need a God-forge.

So forgotten realms has no deity of psionics(And if there is one, he doesn't exist in our version, I asked the GM). This makes my characters heart cry. In a scant few sessions we shall be epic, and I mean to do something about it. Supposing my GM won't make me the diety (which I'm ok with), and I can't find one after doing some planar searching or AO won't let him in (which would be lame), I need to forge a deity.

I know there are items out there (The Annulus) that can kill deities, but I need a place, items, or ritual, so I can birth a deity.

Mystra is the Goddess of Magic, and in FR, Psionics IS magic, it just draws on an inner weave instead of the weave everyone else uses.

What about Ilsensine (Mind Flayer deity), or the Duerger deities? Besides, there used to be a deity of psionic power, but he's been dead for a couple of centuries. Still, as a servant of the fallen (with the feat from Lost Empires of Faerûn, where you also find some info on said deity), you can worship that one and get away with it.

It is similar to magic. It isn't magic. And Mystra's only responsible for the Weave. Not the "inner weave", and not the Shadow Weave, either.

Hm...

While psionics does not require the Weave to function, psionic powers are magical in nature. <snip> In Faerun, psionics and magic are not transparent to each other; they interact exactly as magic interacts with other magic.
Looks like it is magic. While Mystra is not able to deny people the use of psionics as she is the use of the Weave, she is nevertheless the goddess of magic.

To be precise, she's the Goddess of the Weave. She may be a Goddess of magic, but she's not the Goddess of Magic. Shadow Weave users are beyond her grasp, and those who use the Hidden Art don't get anything from her, either.

Psi is like magic. It follows a lot of the rules (like spell/power resistance), but still, Mystra's not exactly the way to go.

I'd go with a deity of Knowledge, or matters of the Mind. I'd say Cyric is particularly fond of manifesters, as Mystra has no hold over them. With his Madness aspect, as well as his quest for ever more power, he'd be a good candidate for a psionics deity.

I need one because there isn't one as far as I know. Ideally said deity would be impartial, promote brothership amongst psions, the spreading of psionics and the use of subtlety and diplomacy. We founded an organization in campaign and our goals are in conflict with Cyrics. We've been killing off cyrics followers as much as we can, and when we can muster a deity, we're going totally agro on them.

You know, my GM may honestly let me get away with asking Gond for a god-forge. Some epic quest to gather remnants of that old dead sun/psioncs diety, maybe find a piece of karsus, and something else, put them in Gonds Blender and *poof* new diety!

Thats a sweet plan.

Edit: I say "as far as I know" because theres some crap about how lathander might be that sun diety revived, but I don't think my GM is going to run with that, but theres always a minor chance.

Yeah, good idea: Give Cyric a convenient target for his next deicide.

Why would Gond have a "god-forge"?

The "usual" way to go about creating gods in the Realms is to seek goodhood for yourself.

Amaunator wasn't a psi deity, either.
