Since the hotel is reserved under my name, I need to be there that day as well.

I can't help with the ride, but most hotels will allow others in your room to check-in without you being there. Just call the hotel and explain the situation - they'll typically ask you to fax them copies of identification and the like, but that will no longer be an obstacle for you.

I appreciate the offer, but Cincinnati is (fairly roughly) the halfway point between Lexington and Indianapolis, and I don't have a car. I've checked with my friends, but they're either out of town then, or working.

I guess I'll end up taking the bus again this year. :\
