Yep. I just fixed it.

See why I don't use that formula? :)

So, as an experienced DM what final price would you use for such an item? I agree that 112k seems a little on the high side, but 3 quickened Trues Strikes a day is pretty darn good.

I would use the formula I mentioned above in the case of True Strike...

1 (spell level) x 12 (caster level) x 2,000gp (use-activated, standard action) = 24,000gp x 2 (secondary power on weapon) = 48,000gp / 1.6 (3/day) = 30,000gp

...it's pretty darn good, but it's not that good. I've seen this in action and it's not that bad at all. Like I said, YMMV.

EDIT: By the way, free action True Strike enhancements are the only case I use this formula for. The problem doesn't come from being able to get +20 to 3 attacks at will in a day, when in fact it comes from deciding when is the best time to use it. I've seen this sucker used in a fight, only to have the player really wish they hadn't used it so soon.

Perma-haste? *twitch* :D

I'd probably halve the 112k gp, myself.

Thats almsot the same calculation as 15k per use. Reading my mind are we?

Ya you can see the actual character in my other thread, he's kinda strong and i'm the kinda player who loves Role Playing & Power Gaming in one.

But hey the final villian is supposed ot have a 50 AC before buffs or equipment, I have no clue how, so I gotta prepare according :D

More than likely his AC breakdown looks something like this...

AC: 50 (10 + 0 (size) + 4 (some type of armor) + 6 (Dex) + 30 (the "I want him to be really tough" DM AC bonus).

Of course, there might be a +4 haste AC bonus in there somewhere. :D

I'm guessing the haste comes after when he buffs. I am guessing a really high dex & natural armour. its supposed to a ECL 10 race, custom made.

I guess you could argue that the +4 now becomes the "secondary power" on the weapon.

So the total price would be 56,250 (quickened True Strike 3/day) + 32,000 x 2 (+4 as secondary ability) = 120,250

The additional cost to add the True Strike to the +4 weapon would then be 88,250.

And the really fun part is the next adventure, where they save it for an emergency and then get squashed before they have a chance to use it. [Evil DM]Bwah-hah-hah![/Evil DM]
