I need help picking spells for an adventure

It is my belief that Harmon does not see the pattern in the campaign, Coyote6. It appears quite clearly to me that Harmon is having troubles with this campaign and those campaigns that he GMs for so my question is- to his Players and friends- is there a pattern in this?

I noticed Harmon that you have mentioned depression and seem to know how to handle the disease, are you struggling with it now? Can this problem with your gaming be associate to this disease?

People battling depression have a difficult time with a lack of attention and self esteem- with their disease not being taken “seriously” by those around them- is this a problem you are facing?

I do not want you to pour your heart out in this forum as it would be taken in the wrong light by most considering that so few understand what the disease is like- those that do are usually those that have been through it and it seems that so few have been through it.

Step back, talk to someone about this, Coyote6 does not seem like a villain- he seems like a good friend. He (more then likely) does not want you to fail in this campaign or in your GMing or (more importantly) in your life, ask him for help- he doesn’t have to give you all the answers.

Sorry to have detoured your thread Harmon, but the problem (I think) is not where you think it is, I think you are losing faith in the people around you because you think they have all abandoned you (perhaps some of them have, but not the one I have seen here). Open yourself up and let them/him help you.

As far as spells go- I would concentrate on a few attack spells- Lightning Bolt, Sonic Orb, and Magic Missiles for the Shadows. Haste, Slow, GMW, Endurance and Invisibility to help out the others in the fight. Teleportation and or Dimension Door for escapes.

Good luck and I wish you all a good year.

Thank you both- El Bob and Silver, it helps.

Silver- you might well be right. I had not considered the change in my 'tude towards some as being signs of the reappearance of that age old problem. And you are right- some people have no clue about depression (one Player seems to think its just something you can snap your fingers and be over with- yep, no clue).

It might be that its the silly season again- which I hate more then any other time of the year.

As for the spells- thanks for the suggestions, I had made some changes on my next score card after Bob's suggestions and now I make a few more.

Bob is a good friend, you have that right, I should never doubt him, but I guess my doubt comes from the whole depression thing.

I guess this thread is about dead- there is no real interest in it, so thanks all and have a great New Years- no drinking and driving, keep it safe and sane. :D
