I need help with character interaction

My best friend and I are in a campaign together where we don't get along at all, she plays a female eladrin rogue and I play a female drow wizard. We have made into a sort of comic competition (just as an aside to entertain the party) to see who can more cleverly insult the other. We need help! Anything would be appreciated!

Why don't you get along?

If you hate each other that much why do you adventure together?

we're having loads of fun with the competition out of game, in game it's just the characters hating each other. Drow and Eladrin can't stand each other in the first place, and to top it all off they both have very abrasive personalities. They adventure together because their goddess sent them on a mission to destroy an evil party (drow are usually evil, but mine is just kinda neutral) so they have to put up with each other. The insults are just to illustrate the fact that they don't have to like it.

If you're having fun I fail to see what the issue is? I played with a similar situation when my elf hated orcs for burning his villiage to the ground, then one of the other players came with a half-orc PC. My PC would routinely insult the other's intelligence and we had competitions for kills (my rogue usually out-killed his PC) so I could rub it in even harder. We were both nobles though so neither could attack the other without our families coming to blows and likely execution. One of my favourite campaigns ever because it's memorable.

If eladrin and drow hate each other you and your friend made PC's knowing they'd not get along so it seems like it was inevitable. Now, your PC's can come to realize that the preconceived notions they had of the other race were just that, prejudices, and you can have an "After school special" moment where you come to see them as the people they are rather than by the colour of their skin.

you misunderstand the point of what I'm asking, we need help coming up with insults not resolving the situation, we knew what we were getting into. It's just becoming harder to come up with racial slurs for each other

I found the funniest set of racially charged banter to be in wild wild west. The key is identifying the differences in the characters and beating them to death every chance u get U have racial differences, class differences, and the nobility thing, because bagging on your travelling companion's family is always a sac-o-hilarity.

Might want to change title of thread to "Need help with in-character insults" or something a bit more blunt. The way it is does sound like you're trying to get along more peacably, not less.
