I would be much more prone to drop $120 on this if it were a boxed set rather than a giant book with a CD. I'm looking at the recent Wilderlands set as an example -- a bunch of maps a couple of books, though I'd rather Ptolus divided their books in a Player's Guide, DM's Guide, Campaign Guide format. Separate all of the material that can be photocopied (small maps, character sheets, etc). Maybe get Fiery Dragon to do a Ptolus Battlebox and throw that in as well.
I guess what I'm looking for with my $120 is, in addition to an excellent campaign setting, is making that campaign setting as convenient and as easy to use as possible. I'm not sure giving us a CD and saying "Here, print this. On your dime." is doing that.
That, and I just plain like boxed sets
