I saw an Xmas commercial on TV today

Seems like it was summer only yesterday.

I saw an Outback Steakhouse commerical today, holiday style, with a christmas tree full of lights.

Here comes the endless parade of holiday ads and commercials!

So, is anybody shopping for presents yet?

I refuse to think about Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving! Enough with the holiday creep.... Pretty soon the ads will start after the 4th of July.

I haven't actually started buying anything yet, though I have started thinking about it a little. It's probably because for the last like 5 years, I've always gone shopping either on Christmas Eve or the day before that and some part of my mind is trying to make up for that by bugging me about it even before Thanksgiving.

It's annoying that Christmas stuff is already beginning though because it means 5 weeks of it. On the plus side, it could be worse, yes, it could start after the 4th of July, though unlikely because Halloween is between the two, and one Holiday should not be looked at ahead of another if it's supposed to occur later.

The local supermarket went from Halloween to Christmas decorations. I hope they have turkeys this month! :p Are they embarrassed by Thanksgiving now?

I bought a Christmas gift about a month ago for my brother, the D&D dummies book. I needed something to boost myself to the free super savings, and planned on getting it for him anyways as he is a dummy, and it worked out well.

um, hello... these ads are for Christmas 2006. next year, they are hoping to start working on having the 2008 ads come out before the 2006 season, and they expect to be up to 2025 before the 2010 season. :) come to think of it, i wonder what my grandkids will want... better get shopping before they are born!
