I think I might be a creepy older gamer

She invited you, and doesn't see anything other than gaming in it.

I'd follow rules of commonsense, ie making sure you have chaperon/other people in shop, wouldnt give her a lift home, dont share your hentai collection etc and other 'cover thy ass just in case' but I'm a teacher and these safety things probably matter to me more than others.

If you are the only older one in group, be prepared for people around your age to call you creepy in muttered whispers.

And as said above (but out of XP or would give it), if your instinct is to say no, avoid the situation.

She didn't have big eyes, pig-tails and an axe, did she?

No, but I did notice something that looked suspiciously like a microphone poking out of the top her her blouse (near her FACE, dammit!)...

And yet creepy. Isn't it creepy how some men don't hug?
I advocate gay rights and watch a lot of MMA. And yet I think it's creepy just how much these dudes hug each other. I mean, really, they hug a LOT.

I would say it's fine as long as it's not a table of high-school girls in short skirts. If she's running a game for a bunch of random dudes in a game store, there's probably no harm in it.

Also, what type of game? The genre and style of the game might suggest if the roleplaying could venture into uncomfortable territory.

Common sense be thy guide!

So long as you really were invited to the game by the DM it isn't creepy. Just be certain you didn't imagine it.

Show up to the first session and sit down to play. Check the reactions of the other players. If you get a bunch of ' what the heck does this creepy old dude think he's doing' stares then get up and leave immediately.:p
