I think my players are cheating on me...

Yes, its true. I am a GM scorned.

WoW(World of Warcraft) seems to be my players #1 priority. Since its release, our bi-weekly gaming day has been less and less likely.

I feel so used an neglected.

Any suggestions on winning back my group?

*I personally find WoW very dull, boring and repetitive; joining them is not an option.

Wait until the initial enthusiasm has died down somewhat and then ask them again?

Maybe it's also, that the game is not to their full interest... surely, if they would love the pen & paper gaming, they would jump on a chance to play every other week.

I lost one of mine to an MMORPG as well for a while. Give them time to get over the initial love of WoW and they will come back to the game, they always do.

Thanks for the replies.

These guys did everquest, Dark ages of Camalot; they did tire and their interest eventually dropped.

But this WoW really has them in rapture.

The group is very busy: work, school, family. Freetime is a prize not arbitrarily spent. I don't really think they've made a conscious choice: RPGs vs. WoW. Just when the schedule gets tight, RPGS is the first one on the chopping block.

They are power gamers. I indulge their cruching needs to a point.
But from what I see WoW is pure cruncher heaven, number chasing madness--and they love it.

I suppose i'm fine with even less frequent gaming than bi-weekly, but after a point, it becomes so disjointed and hazy as to become a parody of a campaign.

When I GM, my goal is to have everyone enjoy the time. So the question is, for WoW addict type personalities, what sort of Adventure or Campaign style would best re-invogorate their interest?

Do you compete with the crunch min/max WoW system?
Do you offer a completely different, roleplay intensive adventures?

Currently: Pirate campaign, low magic. Loosely based on 7thseas and Skull and Bones.

You Go Into Dungeons, Kill The Monsters, And Take Their Treasure. I think there's a ruleset somewhere whose stated aim is to facilitate this style of play.

Everyone eventually burns out of RPGs, especially if it is the same campaign twice per week for ages.

Maybe you could stop playing for a while and do something else? Did you ever consider gardening? :D ;)
