I wanna give my 1st level PC's artifacts and valuable treasure after a weak fight!!

Kilmore

First Post
And THEN I'll make them pay for it!

Setting: A city named Suledaria, which is the viceroyal capital of the Empire of Trynser's southern continent holdings. Trynser is more or less the standard D&D type setting, Suledaria's in more of an Arabian Adventures setting.

Victims: A party of unsuspecting 1st or 2nd level PC's who's long time players aren't expecting me to be a rat bastard.

Plans: A lot of fights, a lot of chases, over the top NPC's played by a DM attempting Shakesphere, a cathartic roller coaster ride of an adventure that is fun for all.

Specific plans: Not many, though some things I'm thinking about are having a chase while being sluiced down an aqueduct towards a major city's water supply, making characters fear 5th level commoners in small groups.

Tools: Core and splat books, Al-Qadim original book and 3E conversion .pdf, Swashbuckling Adventures, Broadsides.

I'm gonna be gone to South Dakota for a while, but I will get back on Wed night to comment on what gets stirred up in here.

Reminds me of a time I gave a party a ton of treasure and magic stuff, only to have a big nasty green dragon take it (and a whole load of other stuff) off them a few hours later in exchange for not eating them. My players really hated me then - but they knew they weren't going to get to keep the treasure as soon as they...err, well, as soon as they realised they had treasure. They're not used to having treasure, and have turned into a cynical lot.

Yep, it would set off bells for my group as well. They are still getting used to D&D's high magic level items as it is.

Morrus, better fix that little UBB code error and delete this post before you start getting flack for it.:)

Who...me? ;)

(Aha! I even have the power to cover up the evidence, even though you cunningly quoted me!)

Actually, I was meaning that you should use your power delete my post as well. That way there will never be any mention of the great Morrus even thinking about messing up italics.:D

Of course, I would always know. Mwu ha Ha HAAAAA!

Oh yeah... that would've been easier, wouldn't it? :)

Sorry Kilmore - we'll stop hijacking your thread now.

A chase through what?!

I like that chase sceen image! Hmm...that's giving me ideas.

Sounds to me like you have the beginnings of a really exciting game. Good luck, I hope your players enjoy it as much as you do.

PS- They really want you to be a rat bastard...honest! ;)
